Elizabeth Beristain's Photo Shoot

The Mexico-born and L.A. based photographer began work on two photo series in Cuba this summer.

In preparation for her next art show, the Mexico-born and L.A.-based photographer started working on two photo essays that will showcase the many beautiful sides of Havana. This exclusive sneak-peek into the new series features local model Amalia, whose striking beauty is the perfect match for the old world glamour of the architecture around the Siboney neighborhood in Havana.

This project from the L.A. based, Mexican artist intends to showcase the island of Cuba in its grand old majesty, thanks to the surviving architectural treasures that gives Havana its air of magic enchantment, one of the many facets that makes it a fabulous destination for visual artists.

This exclusive look into Elizabeth’s new work involves Amelia, a local model and artist who, along with actress Vivian Grey, form part of this new and exciting arts project. The first part of this work was completed, as it can be observed, in the neighborhood of Siboney. Vedado Films will be providing production service support for Elizabeth as she compiles more material for her new photographic series.

Elizabeth has completed the first phase of the project, tentatively scheduled for 2016.
